Job Summary

We are seeking an Employee Benefits Account Executive to join our team. Our Employee Benefits Account Executives are responsible for managing a book of business, policy quotes and carrier liaison for assigned clients/groups. Regularly interacts with new and existing clients while being responsible for devising creative solutions to meet client needs as to coverage and costs.

Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment on significant accounts including but not limited to negotiation of product pricing, interviewing clients; collecting and analyzing information regarding the client and assisting in product and pricing determinations; affecting, interpreting, and implementing various company policies regarding the specific factual circumstances of each client.

Responsibilities

  • Guide clients and internal team members on compliance and regulatory policies to meet industry standard requirements and provide monthly claim reports from carriers to all clients
  • Oversee the status of wellness strategy and programs for clients, along with support to promote monthly incentives or varied programs offered by carriers
  • Review the open enrollment process and ensure proper changes, financial and annual review for year projected, and medical costs to determine benefits cost for employees
  • Support clients with renewal and insurance communication for employees and provide guidance for learning webinars, video tutorials with brokers to ensure proper launch strategy for the clients
  • Assist with escalated client issues and partner with claims department when necessary
  • Partner with the legal team to communicate changes or updates per regulatory requirements and be the liaison to the clients on any policy or industry mandates
  • Request and monitor the census report from the Marketing team to complete the underwriting questionnaire and provide additional information from the carriers and send it to clients
  • Meet regularly with brokers to keep up with industry standards, insurance products, current rates, coverages, insurance policies, and carriers, so you can assist clients, underwriters, account executives, and the rest of our service team with understanding and addressing the newest rules and policy updates
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with producers, company underwriters, and wholesale brokers and attend marketing strategy meetings for new business with brokers and selected internal team members
  • Manage RFPs, non-renewals, and cancellation requests to retain business where appropriate and act as the lead representative to an assigned book-of-business
  • Strategically guide the client through the decision-making process and assist the Account Managers with specific escalated claims issues to locate a solution for the client/group
  • Establish multi-year strategic plan development and present to client/group and manage the financial information and be responsible for renewal negotiation
  • Prepare and present renewals by partnering with the internal Marketing team for census reports, client/group data, and drive calendar meetings and events for the team
  • Show thorough knowledge in Underwriting, Compliance, COBRA, HIPAA and other regulatory areas


Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits coverages, with emphasis on Self-funded, Level Funded, and Large Group relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and work proactively.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including but not limited to Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience with Employee Navigator, EPIC, or other agency management systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.


Education and Experience

  • High school diploma required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum 4+ years of large complex employee benefits experience within an insurance related industry with an emphasis on Self-Funded, Level Funded and Large Group Clients.
  • Active Life & Health Insurance license required.
  • Professional designations or insurance certifications preferred.

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $90,000 - $115,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
