Job Description Summary
The Repair Development Engineering team creates the processes, and tools required for unplanned maintenance—including Major Component Exchanges and uptower repairs—for GE Vernova’s (GEV) Onshore and Offshore Wind fleet. As the Emergent Repair Technical Leader (TL), you will lead a team dedicated to high-priority, urgent technical issues that fall outside traditional New Product Introduction (NPI) cycles. You will act as the primary filter for incoming requests, defining scope, project requirements, and execution strategies. You will set the bar for technical rigor, risk mitigation, and documentation standards. In this role, you will collaborate across the organization, providing technical guidance to our Repair Development Centers (RDCs) and partnering with Installation Engineering, Regional Field Repair Operations (FRO), and technical leadership to ensure safety and excellence in every deployment.

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical direction to a global team; review and approve deliverables to ensure compliance and technical accuracy.
  • Standardization: Establish and maintain best practices for Design Reviews, eDRB, and PLM. Own the standard work and risk mitigation strategies specifically for emergent repair operations.
  • Collaboration: Act as a technical advisor for RDC shop activities and facilitate cross-functional design workshops using Design Thinking principles to drive efficiency and customer value.
  • Growth & Development: Participate in operations planning (SII/Op Plan) and stay abreast of industry/academic technological trends to keep the team at the forefront of repair innovation.
