SALARY RANGE: 105,872.00 - 164,091.20 YEARLY
General Summary:The role of the Emergency Services Business Manager is to facilitate achieving the highest quality and service satisfaction outcomes in a cost-effective manner. The Business Manager provides project planning, implementation and support for operational, and systems changes necessitated by regulation, technology, or administrative policy. The Business Manager may also provide leadership oversight for support team members within the department.
Responsibilities:1. Assessment of efficiency - Develops, manages and executes project plans (objectives, goals, scope, schedules, resources, costs and dependencies) that are integral to the department.
2. Financial Management- Directs budget development, monitors revenue cycles, analyzes billing data, and identifies opportunities for cost savings.
3. Payroll administration - responsible for timecard approvals, daily reconciliation, overtime tracking, & discrepancy resolution.
4. Data integrity - Develops processes and procedures for data collection, monitors and evaluates accuracy and data integrity in collaboration with appropriate resources. Identifies trends and patterns to prioritize response, change management, or improvement efforts.
5. Researches and validates best practice processes. Captures and analyzes quantitative and qualitative data for core measures. Develops scorecards for campus-specific, nursing-driven metrics. Review and update bi-annually as needed.
6. Data Analysis & Reporting - Regularly reviews and generates performance metrics (KPIs), benchmarking department success against best practices.
7. Develops and monitors internal departmental operations for the purpose of performance and process improvement and increased efficiency. Explains and validates raw data findings; articulates and clarifies data referencing evidence-based research.
8. Collaborates with executive management, clinical chairpersons, nursing management, and other strategic stakeholders as appropriate to advance the strategic and operational interests related to the department.
9. Participate in departmental and other meetings as needed. Provides reporting to both campuses on statistics and performance improvement indicators. Reviews and validate all required documentation. Prepare reports for presentation and publication.
10. Strategic Planning - Designs business plans for introducing new medical services, equipment, or service line improvements.
11. Provides physician onboarding support.
12. Responsible for contract and purchasing oversight, including maintenance contracts.
13. Partners with IT to resolve technology issues, implement technology updates, and train staff on tools and systems. Responsible for asset tracking and auditing, and inventory management in conjunction with supply chain partners.
14. May provide leadership, direction, and oversight to assigned staff, including supporting team member development and performance management.
15. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience:- Education: Bachelor Degree Related field

- Experience: Required: 3 years of progressive operations, finance, or administrative management experience within a healthcare setting.
