Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse
Location: Show Low, Arizona
Pay: $31.00-$47.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Full-time | Three 12-hour day shifts per week

Position Summary

A hospital emergency department in Show Low, Arizona, is seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses to provide fast, skilled, and compassionate care to patients with a broad range of urgent and emergent conditions.

The RN will assess and stabilize patients, coordinate treatment with the interdisciplinary care team, administer medications, and respond to trauma, cardiac, neurological, and other emergency conditions. This role is well suited for a confident ER nurse who can prioritize effectively and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform rapid and comprehensive assessments of emergency department patients.
  • Prioritize patient-care needs according to acuity and clinical condition.
  • Provide nursing care to patients experiencing trauma, cardiac, neurological, and other emergency conditions.
  • Monitor patients and promptly respond to changes in condition.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments according to physician orders and clinical protocols.
  • Assist with emergency procedures, resuscitation, stabilization, and patient transfers.
  • Coordinate care with emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, technicians, and other clinical departments.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, follow-up care, and discharge instructions.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.
  • Follow infection-control, medication-safety, trauma, and emergency-care standards.
  • Participate in quality-improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
  • Provide compassionate care while maintaining patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.

Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse license or eligibility for licensure in Arizona.
  • Minimum of one year of professional RN experience.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification.
  • Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification.
  • Current NIH Stroke Scale certification.
  • Current Trauma Nursing Core Course certification.
  • Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts per week.
  • Strong emergency assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous emergency department nursing experience.
  • Experience caring for trauma, cardiac, and neurological patients.
  • Experience in a designated trauma center.
  • Familiarity with Allscripts Sunrise electronic medical records.
  • Familiarity with Omnicell medication-dispensing systems.
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
