Responsibilities
- Leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of side wide health, safety, wellness, and disability programs.
- Serving as the organization's subject matter expert on occupational health and disability management practices
- Overseeing the full lifecycle management of WSIB, Short-Term Disability (STD), and Long-Term Disability (LTD) claims
Emergency Response Program Development
- Lead & maintain required training for the site Mine Rescue / Emergency Response Team.
- Support the Mine Emergency Response Plan & Program is aligned to regulatory and government guidelines and requirements
Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and oversee the site's Emergency Response Team (ERT)
Emergency Planning and Preparedness
- Developing, maintaining, & introducing safety awareness short courses and any associated safety training as required
- Maintain readiness of emergency equipment, supplies, and communication tools
Emergency Response and Incident Command
- Primary Emergency Response coordinator during emergency events
