Full Job Description
Position Summary

Responsible for day-to-day coordination of all emergency preparedness activities between on-site and off-site organizations. General responsibilities include managing and developing personnel, monitoring and improving the performance of the emergency response organization, oversight of training for the emergency preparedness staff and personnel assigned to the organization, surveilling and maintaining emergency facilities, equipment and communication systems, scheduling, planning and coordinating program activities, maintaining familiarity with specialized and technical equipment and processes, upgrading the emergency plan and its response, ensuring that the organization is prepared to respond effectively in the event of the emergency.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Ensuring that the organization is prepared to respond in the event of an emergency.
  • Ensuring that the Emergency Plan requirements are appropriately and effectively implemented.
  • Monitoring performance of Emergency Planning organization and Emergency Response organizations.
  • Maintaining the Emergency Plan and implementing procedures.
  • Maintaining cognizance of outstanding industry issues.
  • Ensuring the the emergency facilities are maintained so that they function properly in the event of an emergency.
  • Supports the ongoing operations of the fleet and is jointly accountable with fleet personnel for the fleet meeting its excellence plan.


Minimum Requirements
  • 5 years nuclear power plant or equivalent emergency preparedness experience.
  • Familiarity with Code of Federal Regulations, guidelines, emergency preparedness programs, power plant operations, training methods and dose projection models.
  • Associates degree or higher in a technical discipline desired. Equivalent experience may substitute.


Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $112,200.00 to $159,400.00 per year
