Emergency Management Specialist Pay range: $80,000 - $90,000 annual salaryJob Summary: TechSource is hiring a full-time emergency management specialist to join a team performing multidisciplinary Blue Team assessment work for Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Blue Team assessments aim to ensure continuity to DoD missions and critical infrastructure by assessing infrastructure vulnerabilities against a broad spectrum of threats including accidents, natural disasters, technological failure, information system attacks, terrorists, radio frequency weapons (RFW), sabotage, and weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
As an Emergency Management Specialist, you will conduct vulnerability assessments of the emergency readiness of critical defense facilities, including assessments of continuity of operations programs (COOP), supply chain analysis, emergency management plans, chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear readiness and survivability (CBRN), and incident response. You will provide recommendations for eliminating or mitigating vulnerabilities for continuous facility operations. You will be working onsite at DTRA Headquarters in Ft. Belvoir, VA. A hybrid work schedule may be offered, based on the team with which you'll support, but all classified work will be conducted onsite.
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of experts to produce comprehensive risk assessments of critical defense infrastructure.
- Provide advice on mitigating vulnerabilities with a focus on emergency management, continuity of operations, and CBRN.
- Document and communicate analysis findings.
Qualifications and Experience:- Active secret security clearance.
- 2 or more years of emergency management or operations planning experience.
- Certification in emergency management, fire protection, or business continuity.
- Experience with CBRN emergency plans and programs.
- Knowledgeable in emergency risk management processes such as all-hazards threat analysis (AHTA).
- Experience in all aspects of COOP (business continuity and operations planning), emergency management, and incident response.
- Ability to work in a team environment and a strong desire to learn.
- Strong organizational and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (approximately 25%), 6 - 7 trips a year that are each 2 weeks long.
Preferred Qualifications: - Active Top Secret security clearance strongly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits: The expected base salary range for this role is
$80,000 - $90,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
