In this position, you will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and executing federal all-hazards preparedness and continuity activities.

Typical Assignments:

- Providing expert guidance on planning, executing, and evaluating national, regional, FEMA, state, territory, and tribal continuity programs.

- Leading development, implementation, and assessment of continuity plans, including business process and impact analyses.

- Coordinating FEMA continuity and national security initiatives, ensuring compliance with federal directives and integration with partner efforts.

- Overseeing readiness activities, including training, exercises, evaluations, plan reviews, and gap remediation.

- Collecting, analyzing, and reporting program data, and delivering briefings to assess, improve, and communicate continuity program effectiveness.

Qualifications

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The qualification requirements listed below must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:

• Developing, implementing, or evaluating continuity plans, programs, policies, or procedures for emergency management or national security-related programs; and
• Planning, conducting, or evaluating continuity tests, training, exercises, or readiness activities to validate operational capabilities and identify program gaps; and
• Analyzing continuity or emergency management program data, after-action findings, corrective actions, or improvement plans to assess program effectiveness.
