Responsibilities ER Director - Full Time, Varied Shift (Administrative Call Rotation Required) If you're an experienced nursing leader ready to advance your career, St. Mary's Regional Medical Center invites you to join our team. As the ER Director, you'll guide clinical operations, support nursing and ancillary staff, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality emergency care. In this leadership-driven role, you'll oversee departmental performance, champion regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of excellence throughout the Emergency Department.
What You'll Do As the ER Director, you'll play a pivotal role in both clinical oversight and operational leadership. You'll ensure safe, efficient departmental function while supporting and developing the nursing team. Responsibilities include:
- Staffing: Assessing and providing appropriate ED staffing using tools to measure, track, monitor, and report departmental processes; measured through productivity and turnover.
- Safe Environment: Prioritizing employee and patient safety; ensuring compliance with OSHA, Infection Control, and Environment of Care standards; providing ongoing staff training.
- Hiring: Following St. Mary's hiring procedures and ensuring timely completion of interviews and onboarding steps.
- Evaluations: Delivering timely 90-day evaluations for new hires and completing annual performance evaluations for all staff; measured by 100% on-time completion.
- Employee Competency & Education: Assessing staff educational needs; developing structures and processes to enhance knowledge, skills, and abilities; implementing best practices to strengthen competencies and documentation.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring departmental adherence to all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Administrative Call: Sharing nursing administrative call responsibilities with nursing managers on a rotating basis.

Qualifications What We're Looking For Licensure / Certification / Education
- Current RN licensure in the State of Oklahoma
- BSN required; Master's in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business preferred
- CEN certification strongly encouraged
- Current BLS required
- ALS and PALS required within 3 months of employment in the Emergency Department
- Basic computer skills required
