The Brand Manager- Emerald (Nuts and Nut-Based Snack Mixes) is responsible for assisting in the development of annual Emerald operating plans and supporting execution of business plans, marketing communications, and innovation initiatives to deliver annual and long-term financial and brand goals. The Brand Manager will oversee day-to-day business management with support from the VP/GM - Emerald. The Brand Manager will work closely with internal cross-functional partners and external agencies to develop and execute the plan.
Essential Functions- Business Planning: Support development and execution of annual brand plans to meet sales and profit goals while building the brand. Includes active monitoring of business fundamentals (velocities, distribution, pricing, promotion), marketing results, and competitive activity to inform plans and adjust as needed.
- Brand Strategy: Support articulation of Emerald brand strategy; ensure all marketing, communications, and product innovation support the brand strategy and promise.
- Marketing Planning/Communications: Partner with agencies on strategy, media planning, creative development, and measurement for fully integrated marketing communications including digital, social, and shopper marketing to deliver efficiently on business and brand-building objectives.
- Innovation: Provide input into short and long-term product innovation and renovation plans, tapping into consumer insights and trends and guiding delivery against brand strategy. Work closely with Insights on consumer research to help inform priorities and execution. Track new item distribution and performance.
- Sales/Customer Support: Partner with Sales to develop channel strategies and drive growth at key customers, including shopper marketing support and compelling sales presentations.
- Insights: Collaborate with internal Insights and Analytics teams to leverage syndicated in-market trends and performance (eg: Circana, Mintel) and primary custom insights (qualitative and quantitative) to drive business planning and brand actions and ensure a continuous learning plan.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education/Experience)- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- 5+ years CPG food & beverage marketing experience.
- Excellent, well-rounded marketing skills with strong strategic, creative, analytical, and financial acumen.
- Track record that demonstrates a drive for results.
- Ability to positively influence cross-functional partners.
- Strong experience managing and collaborating with agencies to achieve brand and business objectives.
- Proven results planning, executing, and evaluating integrated consumer and shopper marketing programs including traditional, social, digital, and retail media.
- Adept at measuring and evaluating marketing results with a test-learn-improve mindset.
- Digitally savvy with extensive social media experience.
- Knowledge of industry best practices combined with resourcefulness and comfort with scrappy budgets.
- Demonstrated experience with consumer research methodologies and Circana/Nielsen data, using insights to inform strategy, evaluate business results, identify issues and opportunities, and craft fact-based sales presentations.
- Extensive experience and skills in project management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Supervises - NoFLSA Designation: This position is a Salaried Exempt and not eligible for overtime.
Work Location: Minneapolis, MN - travel expected 10-25%
