Job Title: Embedded Software Development Engineer

Job Summary:Seeking an Embedded Software Development Engineer with experience developing firmware for embedded medical devices or other highly regulated industries. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and optimizing embedded software using C/C++, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in the complete embedded software development lifecycle using pair programming and collaborative development practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality firmware for embedded medical device applications.
- Integrate software components and third-party libraries into embedded systems.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and software quality best practices.
- Analyze and optimize firmware performance to improve system efficiency and reliability.
- Implement, debug, and tune firmware algorithms.
- Conduct firmware and hardware integration testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
- Collaborate with product management, hardware engineering, QA, and other cross-functional teams to deliver new product features.
- Maintain software using GitHub-based source control and configuration management.
- Produce quality documentation supporting medical device regulatory requirements.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, development tools, and industry best practices.
- Resolve moderately complex technical issues using sound engineering judgment.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of software development experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in embedded firmware development using C/C++.
- Experience developing software in the medical device industry or another highly regulated environment.
- Knowledge of hardware concepts including circuit analysis, microelectronics, and computer architecture.
- Experience with firmware algorithm development, debugging, and optimization.
- Experience performing firmware and hardware integration testing and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with GitHub for software configuration management.
- Experience producing documentation compliant with medical device quality standards.
