Job Description Summary:
Draper's contested environment Integration and Test (I&T) group is looking for an experienced and well-rounded electronics testing engineer with an established history of test definition, planning, execution, and reporting. The candidate should have experience working with a variety of test instrumentation, and exposure to developing hardware control software. Experience with conducting field tests, working with analog or digital devices, circuit board design, and leading teams are also desirable.

An ideal candidate would also have hands on experience with testing in one or more of the following radiation environments (and effects):
• Sustained X/Gamma-rays (TID)
• Flash X-Ray (prompt dose, dose rate)
• Heavy Ions (SEE)
• Protons (SEE)
• Thermal/fast Neutrons (nSEE, DD)

While prior radiation testing experience is desired, it is not required. This position will provide the opportunity to develop this specialized and unique skillset through experience and mentorship from industry leading specialists.

The role will require working with one or more teams in helping programs evaluate, refine, and validate components and hardware designs intended to operate in extremely challenging environments. An ability to support some amount of travel and work out of the Draper St. Petersburg (Rapid Prototyping Center), FL office are also required.

• Contribute high quality content for technical reports and presentations with minimal guidance.
• Adapt appropriately to changes in program requirements.
• Proactively identify needs and concerns associated with plan execution and communicate them to project leadership.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field.

Experience

Additional Job Description:
Candidates are expected to work primarily out of Draper's St. Petersburg (Rapid Prototyping Center), FL office.

Travel to support testing and other efforts will be required for this position. Less than 25% in a given year is expected.

Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Active clearances are preferred.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is
$75,000.00 - $156,000.00
