Full Job Description
LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking an Electronics Technician, Journeyman to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under the Enterprise Programs Infrastructure and Communications Services (EPICS) contract. This role contributes to the site surveys, installation, testing, maintenance, and documentation of electronic systems supporting the modernization of the Voice over IP Communications Enterprise (VoICE) across FAA facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform surveys, installation, configuration, and maintenance of VoICE/Radio electronic systems and related infrastructure at FAA sites.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance procedures and documentation practices.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining system documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, test procedures, and maintenance records.
• Ensure electronic systems are installed and maintained in accordance with FAA standards and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and program management teams to support deployment schedules, technical deliverables, and to address complex technical issues.
• Support configuration control processes and document system updates and modifications accurately.
• Perform preventative maintenance inspections, diagnose equipment malfunctions using systematic troubleshooting procedures.
• Replace defective components and assemblies, conduct performance tests and calibrations, and document all maintenance activities in accordance with FAA technical orders and maintenance management systems.
• Respond to equipment outages to restore critical systems quickly.
• Maintain spare parts inventory.
• Ensure all work complies with safety procedures and quality standards to support continuous, reliable operation of mission-critical air traffic management infrastructure.

Qualifications:
Required:
• Education required: High School Diploma
• Experience required:
o Associate's degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; or
o Bachelor of Science and 6 years of experience is required.
• Working knowledge of VoIP systems, digital communications, and electronic infrastructure.
• Experience with electronic testing tools, configuration management, and document control.
• Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Willingness to travel occasionally across the U.S. for site support and coordination.
• Security Clearance: Must be eligible for a Public Trust clearance.

Preferred:
• Experience supporting FAA or other federal agencies, particularly in remote or field environments.
• Familiarity with FAA governance, cybersecurity protocols, and safety regulations.
• Certifications such as ETA Certified Electronics Technician (CET), CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.

Work Requirements:
Work location: Remote
Work Hours: 9AM-5PM
Travel: 40%
Physical requirements:
Extended Computer Use: Regular and prolonged periods of working at a computer terminal.
Mobility: Ability to move around the office environment to access computer hardware, networking equipment, and server rooms. Ability to climb stairs and get into tight spaces at large and remote Air Traffic Control facilities.
Dexterity: Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate computer equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform tasks requiring precision.
Sitting/Standing: Both prolonged sitting and occasional standing may be required for troubleshooting and attending to system issues.

Compensation (Pay Bands)
Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40 hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate.
