Location: Location: This position does not support teleworking; the selected candidate will need to be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Sunnyvale CA, you will be working a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time..
What does this role look like?
As the Project Lead for the for several concurrent THAAD Seeker Hardware Development efforts you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and qualification testing of obsolescence-driven redesign activities while ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
• Develop and maintain detailed project execution plans, work-breakdown structures, critical-path schedules, and budget forecasts.
• Manage scope, coordinate with Certified Principal Engineers, subcontractors, and vendors, and provide leadership and guidance to make critical decisions with a comprehensive perspective.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while enforcing Lockheed Martin quality, engineering, and safety standards and contractual compliance.
• Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders (engineering, program management, subcontractor management, finance) and the subcontractor, delivering weekly status reports and monthly executive presentations.
To be effective in this role, you will need:
• Electronics Engineering Development experience.
• Project Management experience or equivalent.
• 3+ years professional experience.
• While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Control Account Manager (CAM) or Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience
• Experience with high-reliability electronics development and qualification.
• Previous or current technical or programmatic leadership experience.
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance. Thus US Citizenship is required.
Desired skills
• Experience or willingness to lead multidisciplinary teams through challenging engineering and/or programmatic issues.
• Strong communication skills, and experience presenting to peers, leadership, and/or customers.
• Demonstrated experience working with external vendors as well as diverse internal stakeholders.
• Adaptable to new situations and demonstrate self-initiative in solving complex problems.
• Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Familiarity with aeronautical, missile, launch vehicle, or spacecraft systems.
• Experience with Guidance, Navigation, and/or Control System Hardware.
• Technical experience in full life cycle development of hardware including design, integration, test, and transition to production.
• Experience as responsible product engineer (e.g. CPE, RSE, SME).
• DoD Secret or higher level clearance.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100 - $208,150. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
