The Opportunity:

  • CACI is seeking an Electronics Exploitation (EE) Deployer.
  • Embark on thrilling overseas deployments, tackling exciting challenges in critical intelligence communities.
  • Dive deep into electronic analysis of target devices, unraveling their mysteries from basic signaling to advanced modifications.
  • Craft compelling reports and briefings, showcasing your expertise in characterization, vulnerabilities, and exploitation recommendations.
  • Team up with brilliant engineers and subject matter experts to solve complex problems and respond to RFIs.
  • Stay at the forefront of technology by researching emerging techniques and conducting laboratory-based analyses.
  • Capture, characterize and identify electrical/electronic RF receiver and transmitter modules, operating frequencies and power.
  • Identify electronic components visually, conduct research, provide information, develop accurate schematics of electronics systems using provided tools and techniques.
  • Analyze, demodulate and decode signals to extract intelligence data and develop standardized demodulation and decoding tools and techniques for commonly encountered signals.
  • Perform electronic data recovery on various devices using state-of-the-art forensic tools, such as XRY, Cellebrite and Graykey.
  • Create engaging technical reports on captured data.
  • Maintain meticulous chain of custody and expertly handle evidence to ensure forensic integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • As an EE Deployer, you'll be the go-to expert in a forward, level two exploitation lab, supporting DOW conventional, SOF, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) warfighters and many other government organizations. You'll handle the exploitation of recovered electronic devices.
  • This role demands independence and the ability to thrive in isolated work environments. You'll coordinate with CONUS-based engineering staff, generate forensics reports, and respond to analytical requirements.
  • Be prepared to maintain assigned equipment, provide mission support, conduct training, and field your capabilities in electrical forensics applications, tools, and systems.
  • When not deployed, you'll dive into cutting-edge training exercises supporting US and Partner forces.
  • You'll also have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with our top-tier technical forensic engineers, contributing your expertise to advanced level four exploitation projects. This hands-on experience at home will sharpen your skills and prepare you for the challenges that await you in the field!

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field with 5 years of experience or associate degreeand 7 years of experience or High School diploma and 10 years of experience.
  • Physical ability and commitment to global deployment for 6-month rotations.
  • Expertise in electronic schematic design and interpretation.
  • Proficiency in identifying electronic components and characterizing circuits.
  • Demonstrated use of laboratory benchtop equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of RF communications and standard RF measurements.

Desired:

  • ABET accredited BSE in Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with IED and/or UXS techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTP)
  • Experience collaborating with military organizations, such as EOD and SOF units
  • Basic programming experience in C/C++ or Python for hardware interfacing
  • Active engagement in personal electronics projects demonstrating hands-on curiosity and technical initiative, such as:
    • Building and programming drones or UAVs
    • Designing home automation systems (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, etc.)
    • Robotics projects and electromechanical systems
    • Custom circuit design and PCB development
    • IoT device development
  • Exposure to Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms
  • Knowledge of communication protocols and security concepts
  • MATLAB or LabVIEW programming and analysis experience
  • Experience with Vector Network Analyzers and advanced RF test equipment
  • Understanding of embedded software/hardware systems
