Job Duties:

As the Lead Systems Engineer for the Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) program (assigned to the C3BM Command Control Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) Division), you will serve as the premier IBS Subject Matter Expert (SME) driving innovation to reshape legacy systems and deliver cutting-edge capabilities at a scale that matters.

Your key responsibilities include:

Driving the Technical Vision: As the lead technical authority for the IBS program, you will provide the engineering leadership and oversight for a complex, multi-sensor System of Systems (SoS). Your vision will guide the development and integration of systems that disseminate critical threat warnings and blue force tracking information directly to the warfighter.

Accelerating System Delivery: You will act as the primary catalyst for the systems engineering, development, testing, and lifecycle support of the IBS. Your role is to eliminate technical silos, synchronize diverse interdisciplinary teams, and accelerate decision-making to ensure the program meets its cost, schedule, and performance goals.

Hacking the Integration Challenge: Aggressively resolve complex integration bottlenecks at the system and enterprise levels. You will be responsible for synchronizing the planning, operation, and execution of sensors, assets, and Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) systems to ensure seamless support for joint operations.

Cross-Functional Leadership: You will guide and direct diverse, interdisciplinary teams, leveraging and coordinating technical support across external program offices, Major Commands (MAJCOMs), research labs, and defense contractors. Your leadership will be crucial in resolving complex resource constraints to achieve optimal mission outcomes.

Executive Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary bridge between the deep technical details of the IBS program and a wide range of stakeholders. You will translate complex engineering challenges, risks, and progress into actionable strategy for internal and external partners across all organizational levels.

Qualifications:

Extensive experience (10+ years) in electronic and software systems engineering-specifically in networks, communications, navigation, tactical radios, system integration, and distributed missions as they relate to the lifecycle management of networked systems.

Defense acquisition experience with new development projects is highly desired.

Proven leadership capabilities to guide and direct diverse, interdisciplinary teams in resolving complex cost, schedule, performance, and resource constraints for optimal mission outcomes.

U.S. Citizenship

Obtain maintain a Security clearance.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP).

Must be able to work primarily out of Robins AFB, GA.

This is an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program. The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting, Defense Acquisition Work Improvement Act requirements applicable to the duties of the position.

Incumbent will be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.

The incumbent may be required to travel occasionally by military or commercial air in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) up to 25% of the fiscal year.

The incumbent is required to work primarily in a badge-controlled SIPR room without access to personal electronics.

This position is eligible for telework to include Situational/Ad Hoc at management discretion. However, remote/full-time telework will not be considered.

PCS entitlements/relocation incentives may be authorized/available.
