Senior Electronics Engineer: Master the System that Commands the Skies!

Are you a seasoned electronics engineer ready to apply your technical mastery to the very cornerstone of global air operations? We are seeking a subject matter expert to take on project execution and operational responsibility for the Theater Battle Management Core System (TBMCS) sustainment flight.

In this senior technical role, you will serve as the organization's go-to authority, providing the engineering expertise and project oversight necessary to sustain the sole system used by the joint force to plan, prepare for, and execute air campaigns. Whether supporting peacetime exercises, disaster relief, or active combat, your work ensures that our commanders maintain absolute domain superiority.

What You Will Accomplish:

As a senior technical expert, you will apply your deep engineering knowledge to solve complex challenges and ensure program success. You will:

- Sustain Global Command & Control (C2): Act as the technical expert for the TBMCS flight, ensuring the continuous operational readiness of the software and hardware that builds the Air Battle Plan (ABP) and disseminates the Air Tasking Order (ATO) and Airspace Control Order (ACO).

- Guide and Evaluate Engineering Designs: Oversee critical phases of the development and sustainment process, serving as a senior reviewer to guide, mentor, and evaluate the design and development activities of other engineers.

- Support the Joint Force Worldwide: Maintain and optimize the critical C2 tools relied upon daily by Air and Space Operations Centers (AOCs), Navy aircraft carriers and command ships, Marine Corps Air Wings, and North American Air Defense Command (NORAD).

- Provide Technical Project Management: Take hands-on operational responsibility for engineering projects in your assigned functional area (such as Electronic Warfare or Avionics Systems), managing schedules, risk, and technical execution.

- Deliver Decisive Warfighting Capabilities: Ensure that our automated decision-support tools remain robust, secure, and ready to meet the evolving challenges of modern, joint-force operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- U.S. Citizenship

- May occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft

- Obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance

- Designated as a Acquisition Position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP)

- Designated drug testing position

Recruitment Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

1. Knowledge of professional electronics engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.

2. Knowledge of development testing and evaluation sufficient to apply experimental theories and new

applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.

3. Knowledge of integrated air-vehicles, ground systems, and support equipment sufficient to plan, design, test, troubleshoot, evaluate, and oversee the development and/or sustainment of electronic systems or devices.

4. Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management; standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and other engineering disciplines.

5. Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design

approaches, and to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes.
