Summary:
The Electronics Engineer contributes to the design, development, and support of electronic systems and components. Working with cross-functional teams, this role supports product development from concept through production while maintaining reliable and efficient system performance.
What You'll Do:
- Design and develop electronic circuits, schematics, and printed circuit board (PCB) layouts for new and existing products.
- Support hardware development activities through product design, prototyping, testing, validation, and production release.
- Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of electronic assemblies and systems.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation including specifications, drawings, test procedures, reports, and design records.
- Select, evaluate, and qualify electronic components based on performance, availability, and cost requirements.
- Conduct laboratory testing using oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and other electronic test equipment.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production issues and support continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Work with suppliers and vendors regarding technical specifications, component quality, and engineering requirements.
- Support product transition from design into manufacturing.
- Contribute to initiatives focused on reliability, manufacturability, performance improvements, and cost optimization.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 4-7 years of experience in electronics design, hardware development, or product engineering.
- Experience creating schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer or equivalent design software.
- Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design principles.
- Experience with hardware testing, validation, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with standard laboratory test equipment including oscilloscopes and electronic analyzers.
- Familiarity with product development and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of RF, wireless communications, or telecommunications products is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
