We are seeking an Assistant Vice President to join the team. The role may be based at our corporate headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, or our London office, with an onsite requirement of four days per week.
What You Will Be Responsible For:As a strategist on the Agency Lending Electronic Trading team, you will design and execute quantitative securities finance strategies that generate revenue for clients and the firm. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop algorithms and models to price and manage a global inventory of lendable securities, including equities, corporate bonds, and sovereign, supranational, and agency debt.
- Design robust automated trading solutions, including core systems and user interfaces for monitoring and control.
- Build analytics that inform manual and automated decisions throughout pre-trade, execution, and lifecycle management.
- Apply programming and quantitative skills to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of electronic trading activity.
- Lead the development of reusable tools for quantitative research and strategy creation.
- Integrate the lending program with new electronic trading venues while expanding capabilities on existing venues and proprietary access channels.
- Manage daily desk operations, including system monitoring, production diagnostics, pricing and inventory management configuration, new electronic relationship setup, and support for voice traders and external counterparties.
- Collaborate with the Research division to translate academic theory into practical trading solutions.
- Serve as Product Owner for electronic trading, partnering with Global Technology Services to deliver new strategies, market integrations, and automated trading system features.
- Build deep expertise in global securities finance-including securities lending, repurchase agreements, and swaps-with emphasis on market structure, technology providers, regulation, trading, and financial resource management.
- Partner with Agency Lending Voice Trading to align voice and electronic trading activities.
- Uphold State Street policies, standards, and guidelines for Model Risk Management, Algorithmic Trading, and End-User Developed Tools (EUDTs), demonstrating Risk Excellence in all activities.
Education and Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python; experience with a production language such as Java or C++ is preferred.
- Experience trading securities finance products, including securities lending, repo, or swaps is preferred.
- Strong interest in the intersection of financial markets and technology.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming and sound software design principles is preferred.
Salary Range:$135,000 - $135,000 Annual
