We are looking to hire an Analyst or Associate Electronic Options Sales trader to join our growing team; this is a unique opportunity for an individual to begin a career in a new and rapidly growing area of Equity Derivatives Trading.


Job Summary:

As an Analyst on the Electronic Options Sales team, you will support sales and coverage personnel within the team as we continue to build and sell new Electronic Options algos as well as act as a primary JPM point of contact for our existing electronic options clients, addressing their various needs across the franchise.

You will be expected to work with sales and algo client coverage; quickly handling client orders and actioning alerts, as well as frequently interacting with clients to address questions on orders and translating feedback into demonstrable platform improvements. You will be both on the desk covering flow as well as out in front of clients building relationships and cross-selling with other teams. If you are highly motivated and passionate about markets, technology, and building a best-in-class franchise, this role is for you.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supporting client algo/DMA orders; providing day to day client coverage in order to support and increase trade volume
  • Becoming a trusted expert in equity derivatives algo technology and market structure; working daily with our Quants, Systematic Trading and Product teams to build knowledge in a fast-changing space
  • Analyze client order flow using TCA and execution quality metrics to provide actionable insights that optimize trading performance.
  • Selling our platform, cross-selling across the firm, and putting together deliverables for our client base
  • This is a fast paced, quantitative role and this person needs to enjoy and do well in such an environment as well as possess extreme attention-to-detail
  • Be a team player willing to learn the basics of Product/Quant work; providing back up support for broader team including on Product functions

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Someone who thrives on the challenge of competitive pressures and is able to remain focused on client needs
  • Strong interest in Equity Derivatives, Financial markets, Electronic Trading/algos, Hedge Funds
  • Intellectual curiosity and self-motivator; drive to continually ask questions when analyzing complex topics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively simplify complex topics to explain to non-experts
  • Comfort with analytical applications such as excel; demonstrating ability to use Microsoft copilot in analyzing data
  • 0 to 3 years of relevant experience

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Series 57, 7 and 63 registrations are a plus
