Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager to support the
Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This position is located in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:- Ensure consistent, thorough, and integrated management, execution, and products of Flight, Technical, Programmatic, and Cyber risks through the MDA Risk Working Group (MRWG).
- Execute Technical Risk assessments to support MDA Operational Capacity List (OCL) Decisions.
- Provide expert review of evidence related to technical and Cyber risks presented in System and Element requirements and design reviews.
- Provide support to elements for risk development.
- Support Mission Execution and disposition of Execution Risks and Event Observations in Daily MRWGs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:- Bachelor's Degree in STEM and a minimum of 7+ years of experience.
- Understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) theory and electromagnetic principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strict attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Teams.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a DoW security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:- Graduate of a military spectrum management school.
- 4+ years of experience within the federal/DoW spectrum management.
- Ability to obtain / Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance.
- Experience with Spectrum XXI (SXXI).
- Knowledge of the NTIA Manual (Redbook).
- Experience with the GEMSIS suite (Stepstone, Host Nation Spectrum Worldwide Database Online [HNSWD-O], Joint Spectrum Data Repository [JSDR], Integrated Spectrum Desktop).
- Knowledge of electromagnetic propagation modeling, wave behavior, and signal attenuation.
- Experience with Mat-lab or other programming languages.
- Knowledge of the Joint Spectrum Interference Resolution Online (JSIR-O) portal.
- Experience with NTIA EL-CID.
- Knowledge of standard engineering practices.
- Experience with automation tools or programming/scripting languages to aid in data analysis.
