Job Description Summary
The Maintenance Technician safely and independently performs preventive, routine and reactive maintenance tasks. This role is at Metem, a
GE Power business. Metem offers cooling hole technologies in the power generation and aerospace industries to increase engine efficiency.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform predictive, preventative, corrective and routine maintenance on production equipment
• Repair, maintain and troubleshoot CNC machines
• Repair, assemble and install electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic systems
• Calibrate process control equipment and instrumentation
• Rebuild, install, and make field repairs on centrifugal and diaphragm pumps
• Maintain motor starters, variable frequency drives, and servo controls
• Install piping, conduit, and raceway systems
• Perform facilities and building maintenance
• Document work activities using CMM.]

Qualifications/Requirements

• Associate degree or Trade School in a technical field and a minimum of 5 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment OR a high school diploma/GED equivalent and a minimum of 7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work 2nd shift 2pm-10pm

• Ability and willingness to obey all safety rules, including wearing personal protective equipment (i.e., steel-toe shoes, safety
  glasses, and hearing protection in designated areas)

Desired Characteristics

• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical / electrical schematics, and other specifications to determine repair method for failed components
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic principles.
• Proficiency in electro-mechanical systems, servos, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, and industrial controls
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with PLC, CNC, and other electronic controls
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Self-motivated and results driven

The base hourly pay range for this position is $36.50-$50.50/hrThis position is also eligible for 10% shift differential.
