Electro/Mechanical Aerospace Controls System Analyst
The position can be based at our Mississauga (ON) or Longueuil (QC) facility, from Monday to Friday, with flexible hours and exclusively on-site.
The successful candidate will join ECN’s Electrical Systems team to perform work on complex assignments associated with the design of gas turbine engine electrical and electronic accessories; specifically to design, validate and certify gas turbine engine control systems and associated components for P&WC gas turbine engines. This is a position which requires a strong understanding of electronic control system design for engine electronic control units as well as the application of sensors and actuators associated with turbine engine control systems. Candidates will be expected to perform initial system engineering analysis for new electronic engine control systems as well as create specifications for these systems and evaluate supplier responses those specifications. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of electronic design principles as applicable in an aerospace environment.
What will your day-to-day look like?
Candidates should be able to:
Review, evaluate and develop supplier designs of powered electronic and passive electrical accessories needed for aircraft engines to meet performance, reliability and customer needs;
Create specifications, apply technical knowledge;
Plan and coordinate with suppliers as required;
Define functional, operational, physical and qualification requirements for engine electronic controls, sensors, effectors and associated interconnecting components;
Support component and system validation test activities as required. On-site support at various sites may be required in support of certification activities;
Support engine control system Electromagnetic tests, including the development and execution of test plans and review of the test results;
Review and interpret test data produced during component and engine validation testing;
Generate top-level certification reports for submittal to national and foreign airworthiness certification authorities;
Provide continuous improvement to organizational processes based on lessons learned through product development and in-service experience;
Provide technical support to suppliers to ensure smooth transition of new products into production;
Provide technical support to P&WC’s aftermarket sector to advance field issues
What do you need to be successful?
Bachelor degree in engineering with 5 to 7 years' experience OR Master degree with a minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience

The salary range for this role is 101,500 CAD - 151,500 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
