SMS Equipment is looking for a
Journeyperson Electrician to work in our

What You'll Do- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test AC electric motors, alternators, and related components.
- Perform rotor restacking and rebar work as part of component rebuild processes.
- Repair and rebuild VPI stators and other electrical components.
- Strip windings from stators and prepare cores for rebuilding.
- Support component repair, rebuild, assembly, and maintenance activities.
- Install new parts and electrical systems in accordance with industry standards and site-specific practices.
- Conduct component failure analysis to identify root causes and improve equipment performance.
- Collaborate with customers and other trades to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Perform equipment and shop maintenance to support safe and productive operations.
What You BringYou bring
Journeyperson Electrician certification and
a minimum of three years of related experience, along with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. You take pride in troubleshooting complex electrical systems and contributing to reliable, high-quality rebuilds.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and OEM drawings, as well as electrical code specifications.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Red Seal certification.
- Knowledge of Komatsu AC Electric Drive Haul Trucks and other mining equipment.
