The Electrical Work Package Planner supports project execution by developing electrical work packages, maintaining short-range plans, tracking field progress, and supporting schedule and performance reporting. This role works closely with field supervision, project controls, engineering, procurement, and quality teams to help ensure electrical work fronts are ready for execution and constraints are identified before impacting crews. The position also helps maintain accurate quantity, productivity, forecast, and progress information so project teams have a clear view of current field conditions and upcoming work.

This role will be located near Colorado City, TX.

• Work Package Preparation: Prepare and maintain electrical construction work packages using IFC drawings, specifications, approved submittals, material information, and established project requirements. Organize package documentation by area, system, elevation, work front, or crew as directed.
• Short-Range Planning Support: Update three-week look-aheads and other short-range planning documents based on information provided by field supervision, scheduling personnel, and project leadership. Verify upcoming work activities and communicate identified constraints to supervision.
• Field Verification: Perform routine field walks to verify work status, available work fronts, access conditions, material availability, and installation progress. Document observations and report discrepancies or potential work interruptions to the appropriate supervisor.
• Progress & Quantity Tracking: Collect and enter installed quantities, percent-complete information, production data, and other field progress information into established trackers and reporting systems. Compare field information with project records and coordinate corrections when discrepancies are identified.
• Drawing & Documentation Review: Review electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, details, specifications, and work package documents to support preparation of field work. Identify missing, conflicting, or incomplete information and escalate questions to supervision, Engineering, or other responsible personnel.
• Workfront & Constraint Tracking: Maintain logs of material shortages, drawing holds, access restrictions, prerequisite work, RFIs, and other items affecting electrical work packages. Follow up with responsible project personnel and update status as information becomes available.
• Reporting & Record Maintenance: Update work package trackers, quantity logs, look-aheads, progress records, productivity reports, and other routine project-control documentation using established formats and procedures.
• Field Coordination: Communicate regularly with electrical Foremen, General Foremen, Superintendents, and project-control personnel to confirm current work status and upcoming activities. Participate in coordination meetings and provide requested field and work-package information.

• 5+ years of combined electrical construction, field planning, work packaging, project controls, field engineering, scheduling, or related experience, including demonstrated experience supporting electrical construction execution.
• Working knowledge of industrial electrical construction sequencing, workfront planning, and installation practices, with the ability to read one-lines, schematics, plans, details, and specifications.
• Experience developing or coordinating work packages and tracking installed quantities, production, progress, and crew performance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365; working proficiency with Bluebeam for drawing review, markup, comparison, and package documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and field-coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with craft supervision and project leadership.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and mobilize to assigned project sites as required.
• Experience with Primavera P6, earned value/progress measurement systems, large industrial, energy, infrastructure, or data center projects, and projects with 500+ site personnel preferred.
• Previous electrician, foreman, general foreman, I&E planner, electrical field engineer, or field electrical supervisor experience; applicable electrical credentials; and bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred.
