Please review the job details below.Lanteris Space is currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented engineer to join our Electrical Test Engineering team in Palo Alto, CA. In this role you will be supporting the integration and testing of flight-critical electrical systems, wire harnesses, and avionics components for advanced spacecraft. Working under the guidance of senior engineering staff, you will play a hands-on role in ensuring vehicle system functionality and flight readiness.
Responsibilities:- Test Environment Definition: Perform analysis of test equipment requirements and coordinate with the Electrical Aerospace Ground Equipment (EAGE) team to ensure the proper design and setup of all relevant test hardware. Review scripts from the Front-End Engineering and Development (FED) team to ensure the safe execution of commands to verify bus test requirements.
- Scheduling/Tasking: Meet with the spacecraft team daily to determine electrical testing to be performed while optimizing the overall schedule. Generate task logs to communicate authorization of tasks to be performed by the electrical team. Work with a Senior EVE to provide leadership to the electrical test team for 3 shift, 7 days-per-week operations.
- System Integration: Assist in the electrical integration of spacecraft subsystems, ensuring clean connectivity, power distribution, and command and data handling operations.
- Test Definition: Help draft, update, and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including wiring interconnect diagrams, electrical schematics, and step-by-step test procedures. Ensure that all documentation complies with spacecraft test requirements.
- Test Execution & Verification: Support the execution of functional and environmental testing campaigns, including Thermal Vacuum (TVAC), Vibration, Acoustics and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing. Provide initial review of all tests run during spacecraft Build process. Travel to the Launch Base with a Senior EVE to perform final checkout of the spacecraft prior to launch.
- Anomaly Resolution: Provide first-line debugging of all electrical non-conformances and test anomalies and then coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to resolve all electrical anomalies discovered during testing.
Minimum Requirements- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Bachelor's degree in an electrical, electronics, aerospace engineering or related discipline. Four years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree
- Proficiency in MS Office
Preferred Requirements- General:

- Debugging and troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with Electrical Hardware:
- Basic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, Digital Multi-Meters (DMMs) and function generators
- Understanding of mathematics, physics, materials and chemistry as they relate to electrical circuits
- Familiarity with Spacecraft Architecture:
- Familiarity with satellite design and testing obtained through educational training and/or on-the-job experience in a related field.
- Familiarity with satellite command and telemetry.

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
• The base pay for this position within California is: $67,000.00 - $111,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
