Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer III to join the AI&T team on the Terawave program. In this role you will own electrical verification campaigns end-to-end - from continuity and interface checks through data bus and fault injection testing - and serve as a technical mentor and production transition lead. You will translate bench electrical test methods into producible, repeatable procedures ready for direct adoption by the production line test team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Execute and lead electrical interface checks, continuity/isolation tests, and power bus verification campaigns; manage execution from test readiness through formal report closeout.

  • Perform timing and latency characterization across all hardware interfaces; verify data bus operation: CAN, SpaceWire, MIL-STD-1553, RS-422, and discrete I/O.

  • Conduct fault injection tests; capture results against defined pass/fail criteria and drive anomaly disposition through closure.

  • Own and maintain electrical test procedures from development through formal review, release, and post-test red-line incorporation.

  • Author formal test reports; support root cause analysis for test failures and escaped defects.

  • Serve as production liaison: develop training materials and deliver knowledge transfer sessions to production test engineers covering electrical verification techniques and common failure modes.

  • Identify DFT improvements and provide actionable feedback to design and manufacturing engineering.

  • Mentor Electrical Test Engineer I and II team members; review their procedures and test reports.

  • Coordinate with subsystem engineers on test objectives, success criteria, and design-for-test requirements.

  • Support formal acceptance test planning and customer witness test preparation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical test, system integration and test, or hardware verification in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics.

  • Experience leading or owning electrical test campaigns end-to-end: procedure development, execution, anomaly disposition, and formal test reporting.

  • Proficiency with electrical test equipment: oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, data acquisition systems, and data bus analyzers.

  • Experience with nonconformance management, anomaly disposition, and corrective action processes.

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on a satellite, launch vehicle, or defense electronics program.

  • Background with data bus protocol testing: SpaceWire, CAN, MIL-STD-1553, RS-422, or discrete I/O verification.

  • Experience developing or delivering technical training for production or operations personnel.

  • Familiarity with automated test execution using Python, LabVIEW, GSEOS, COSMOS, or equivalent toolsets.

  • Background with ESD controls and workmanship standards (IPC/WHMA-A-620 or equivalent).

  • Familiarity with configuration management and nonconformance systems (Windchill, MES, or equivalent).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to brief test status and anomalies to program leadership.
