Full Job Description
Electrical Superintendent We're looking for an Electrical Superintendent with mission critical experience who brings precision, accountability, and deep electrical expertise to every site they run - someone who earns trust fast and treats every subcontractor, owner, and crew like a long-term partner, because at MCL, they are. The title is Electrical Superintendent. The real job is leading the electrical scope that keeps mission critical projects safe, precise, and running Your Day-to-Day Run the Electrical Scope • Lead all on-site electrical operations for mission critical and data center projects - safe, clean, on schedule, and within budget. • Coordinate switchgear, generator, UPS, and distribution installations with MEP trades and commissioning teams. • Own the electrical schedule and manpower planning within the broader project schedule; maintain a clear six-week look-ahead for electrical scope. • Direct resource allocation, equipment use, and field cost control for electrical work. • Get ahead of schedule, budget, and scope issues on electrical systems before they become problems. • Manage field documentation specific to electrical scope: RFIs, submittals, change orders, QC records, and commissioning documentation. Lead People and Partners • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for electrical subcontractors, engineers, and commissioning agents. • Lead electrical coordination meetings and weekly trade coordination with a focus on safety, schedule, and quality. • Hold electrical subcontractors accountable to performance and quality standards - professionally and consistently. • Resolve field conflicts quickly so work keeps moving. Hold the Line on Safety and Quality • Maintain a visible, no-compromise safety presence on-site every single day, especially around energized equipment and commissioning activities. • Run toolbox talks, safety meetings, and inspections specific to electrical hazards; document and address hazards immediately. • Enforce MCL's quality standards through testing, inspection, and commissioning so the finished electrical systems perform flawlessly from day one. The Right Fit You're a strong fit if you: • 7+ years of progressive electrical construction experience, with 3+ years running electrical scope as a superintendent. • Proven track record delivering electrical systems on mission critical, data center, or similarly complex commercial projects. • Deep knowledge of switchgear, generators, UPS systems, distribution, and the commissioning (Cx) process. • Know your way around scheduling systems (Procore, P6, or similar) and actually use look-ahead planning. • Fluent in electrical contract documents, submittals, RFIs, and change order management. • OSHA 30 certification required; NFPA 70E training a plus. • Communicate directly and clearly - with owners, engineers, commissioning agents, and your own team. • Run a clean, organized, professional job site without being told to. • Able to travel or take extended project assignments when mission critical work calls for it. Competitive Compensation Package with benefits including: Medical, Dental & Vision • 401(k) with company match • Generous PTO • Travel opportunities • And more You don't just run electrical scope. You make sure mission critical systems work the first time - every time. If that speaks to you, let's talk.
