Job Summary:

In this role, you will lead and organize planning, safety, quality, and technical activities for the electrical scope of work on a complex project with multiple stakeholders. You will directly manage and coordinate direct-hire electrical crews, providing day-to-day supervision, workface planning, and field execution guidance. Your leadership will ensure electrical installations are sequenced to align with the overall project schedule, while work methods are planned and executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design requirements, codes, and quality standards. #LI-SM2

Major Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading and coordinating direct hire electrical construction activities on mid-size projects of moderate to high complexity, involving multiple stakeholders.
  • This role requires hands-on experience with low-, medium-, and high-voltage cable systems, a strong understanding of critical electrical safety requirements, and active enforcement of project safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to develop and manage a 90-day execution plan and a 3 week look-ahead schedule, oversee labor productivity through Performance Factor (earned vs. burned hours) tracking, and adjusts resources as needed to meet schedule and cost objectives.
  • Responsibilities include planning and supervising field execution, reviewing construction methods and manning plans, ensuring materials and equipment are available, and verifying installations comply with engineering drawings, specifications, and vendor requirements.
  • The role also supports Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals by interpreting technical documents, resolving field issues, and coordinating with Engineering and Design to address constructability and execution challenges


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Requires strong working knowledge of electrical codes and standards, comprehensive electrical safety practices, and demonstrated expertise in lockout/tagout procedures, along with a solid understanding of the key drivers of construction productivity. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and the broader Microsoft Office suite is required, with preferred experience using Setroute and TW systems, as well as the ability to navigate and utilize 3D models through tools such as Navisworks and Universal Plane Viewer.
  • Must be physically capable of performing regular field inspections and project walk-downs, including extensive walking on active construction sites, accessing ladders and scaffolding, working at heights with fall protection, traversing uneven or elevated surfaces, wearing required PPE, and maneuvering in tight or confined spaces as required by the work.
