Your Impact
  • Serve as Engineer of Record (EoR) for electric substation projects, guiding design technologists and producing detailed designs, material lists, and IFC packages,
  • Act as the client's Owner's Engineer, ensuring external consultants meet scope, standards, and project timelines,
  • Apply advanced engineering calculations, technical analysis, and critical judgment to high- impact design decisions,
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering skill development, quality, and best practices,
    Manage a diverse portfolio of major, moderate, and minor station projects, maintaining schedule, risk awareness, and technical integrity,
  • Collaborate closely with planning, operations, project management, and multidisciplinary engineering partners to drive project execution,
  • Lead engineering project controls, including budgeting, scheduling, forecasting, and risk assessments,
    Provide real-time construction support, troubleshooting and resolving field issues,
  • Oversee engineering closeout activities, ensuring documentation integrity and alignment with client requirements,
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through knowledge sharing, technical discussions, and process refinement,

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering designation (EGBC),
  • 8+ years of experience in electric substation design, power utility engineering, or industrial electrical infrastructure,
  • Deep understanding of transmission, distribution, and station equipment, design standards, and utility practices,
  • Experience working within a utility environment or delivering client embedded engineering support,
    Proficiency in design and analysis tools such as AutoCAD, MS Office, Primavera, SharePoint, and engineering software such as CDGES, CymeTCC, ETAP, Polywater, or equivalents,
  • Strong organizational skills, able to balance multiple complex projects and deliver highquality work,
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices, construction support, and operational coordination,


Compensation:

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $114,600 to $151,800
MB & ON: $104,500 to $143,900
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $103,500 to $137,400
