In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety programs and policies aimed at reducing workplace accidents and ensuring a safe work environment for employees. You will collaborate closely with managers, supervisors, and employees to foster a culture of safety within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive safety program, including policies, procedures, and training sessions.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections at job sites, identifying hazards and implementing corrective measures.
- Lead safety training sessions and workshops to educate employees on safety protocols and best practices.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, documenting findings and suggesting improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards.
- Work with the management team to set safety goals and evaluate safety performance metrics.
- Act as a safety consultant to project teams, providing expert advice on safety-related matters.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in safety management or a related field.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or relevant safety certification is preferred.
- Experience with NFPA 70E Electrical Training
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in construction and industrial environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and training skills.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct safety audits and risk assessments effectively.
- Proficient in safety management software and tools.
- Ability to travel 50-70% of the time
