JOB SUMMARY:Electrical Project Manager will plan and supervise a wide range of projects from start to finish. The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
Responsibilities:- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
- Obtain licenses from appropriate authorities to insure all work complies to codes
- Determine needed resources manpower, equipment and materials from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor use and material levels to provide timely replenishments as needed.
- Supervise the work of all staff, sub-contractors etc. and give them guidance when needed
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports as contractually required
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- Determine and define scope of work and deliverables
- Predict resources needed to complete project
- Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory prerequisites
- Draft and submit budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Manage costs in order to meet budget
- Provide direction over contracts and subcontracts
- Manage schedule and activities
- Issue progress updates as needed regarding costs and timelines
- Ensure work is done in compliance with all relevant building and safety codes
- Select and manage subcontractor and supplier relationships
- Coordinate efforts across entire project between architects, designers, engineers, and subcontractors and owners to insure timely invoice payments and collections
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:- Proven experience as an electrical project manager
- In-depth understanding of electrical procedure, material and project management principles
- Comfortable reading and understanding blueprints and drawings
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Good knowledge of MS Office products and Spreadsheets
- Familiarity with MS Project & BlueBeam software
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in related field recommended, but not required
- High degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
