Job Title
Electrical Program & Change Management Specialist - Automotive (GPDS / Product Development)

Overview / Summary
We are seeking an experienced professional to support electrical engineering program execution within a complex automotive product development environment. This role focuses on managing engineering changes, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely release and integration of electrical components across multiple vehicle programs. The ideal candidate will operate effectively in a matrix organization, support project and program management activities, and help resolve issues impacting program delivery and launch timelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional coordination of electrical engineering changes (DCRs) from initiation through final approval
  • Track and manage engineering deliverables across product development milestones (GPDS framework)
  • Monitor design maturity, test status, and supplier readiness to prevent build delays
  • Manage feature-to-part alignment, ensuring consistency with marketing feature lists and program targets
  • Drive on-time release of electrical components including ECUs and wiring harnesses
  • Ensure engineering alerts, part release statuses, and sign-offs are completed prior to release freezes
  • Facilitate interface coordination between module owners and system engineering teams
  • Track and resolve integration issues affecting system and network-level releases
  • Utilize engineering systems to track alerts, part status, and effectivity dates
  • Monitor CAD and BOM alignment using configuration management tools
  • Support engineering change control meetings and cross-functional issue resolution
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and program teams to ensure launch readiness

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive product development programs
  • Experience with new vehicle launch programs and cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycle (GPDS or similar)
  • Familiarity with engineering tools and processes (e.g., BOM, change management, release systems, DFMEA, DVP, 8D, Six Sigma)
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and supporting multiple stakeholders
  • Knowledge of engineering change management and release processes
