Full Job Description
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and directing the day-to-day activities within the maintenance department's electrical and mechanical areas of the maintenance department. Position supervises employees; enters work orders; parts inventory, PM program and works with other Maintenance Supervisors and Maintenance Engineering Manager to ensure maintenance budget is being managed to control spend that supports plant operations. In addition, develops, executes and supports solutions to improve process systems/energy performance, food safety, employee safety and product quality.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

This position reports to the Maintenance Engineering Manager and supervises electricians and/or maintenance mechanics. Position works closely with all plant staff, vendors, and contractors. This position also works closely with Tree Top's Engineering Department with regards to the plant's ongoing automation/electrical and mechanical system support.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY:

KNOWLEDGE OF:
  • Principles and practices of food manufacturing, including: food safety, quality, manufacturing concepts.
  • Troubleshooting PLCs, electrical, and instrumentation is required. Strong understanding of Ethernet communications highly desired. AB, Siemens, TL, Wonderware, and/or Inductive Automation experience and mechanical systems/equipment.
  • NFPA 70 and 7OE codes.
  • Principles and practices of maintenance, fabrication, and welding.
  • Knowledge of financial forecasting, budgeting, and accounting.
  • Working knowledge of FDA and OSHA regulations, GMPs, Sanitation, and HACCP.
  • Understanding of associated processing equipment and engineering.
  • Principles and practices of continuous improvement concepts and related application technique.
  • Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations.

ABILITY TO:
  • Effectively manage and lead multiple projects with multidisciplinary teams toward a shared goal.
  • Gain cooperation through discussion and persuasion.
  • Identify, research, and analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, and project consequences of proposed actions.
  • Effectively organize, plan, and execute.

EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION/LICENSES, AND TRAINING:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Manufacturing, a Certification in Electrical or Instrumentation & Industrial Automation, or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical experience, as well as experience in implementing and maintaining a preventive/predictive maintenance system.
  • Minimum of 3 years working with PLCs for troubleshooting process issues.
  • Proficient in the use of electrical test and instrumentation calibration equipment.
  • Washington State electrical journeyman license or an out of state license with the ability to pass the WA state exam is preferred.
  • HACCP Certification, SQF Certification, Food Safety Programs training, ammonia training, boiler operator training, and/or pneumatics training are preferred.

Pay Information

Salary Range: $85,690 to $128,535 annually

Target Starting Range: $90,000 to $100,000 annually

This range reflects the full pay scale for all roles within this position's grade. The actual salary offer will consider various factors, such as experience and, if applicable, location. Tree Top provides a bi-weekly payroll. This position is eligible for yearly incentive based on company performance.
