We are seeking qualified individuals for the role of Electrical Maintenance Supervisor.
Please note that this is not a fly-in, fly-out position and will be based in Labrador West, NL. This position may require candidates to work a 7 on 7 off shift - 12-hour shifts (day/night).
Job Responsibilities:- Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for industrial purposes
- Supervise a team comprised of electricians, instrumentation technicians and technologists.
- Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
- Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Provide technical assistance to field personnel in the areas of high-voltage distribution equipment and high-voltage motors/generators
- Respond and provide technical assistance to electrical equipment problems within the company-owned facilities
- Direct and oversee vendor shop repairs on high-voltage motors and equipment to ensure quality
- Issue repair reports at the conclusion of critical jobs for proper historical documentation
- Identify engineered resolutions to recurring electrical issues
- Improve plant/equipment reliability through historical trending and improved maintenance procedures
- Participate in Failure Analysis and the RCA process for electrical failures.
- Execute equipment maintenance strategies (predictive and preventive)
- Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
Skills and Qualifications:- Working knowledge of processing facility operations in the Mining industry including Concentrator/Mine maintenance, safety, maintenance, equipment, and staff utilization.
- Instrumentation & controls experience would be an asset
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively train and mentor employees.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent work ethic, and attendance record.
Education:- Red Seal Industrial Electrician
- Electrical Engineering Technology
License:- Driver's License (Required)
