Shift / Schedule: 1st Shift; rotating weekend work required 
Travel Requirements: Minimal; travel may be required as needed between plants

Role Overview / Purpose and Scope 

TheElectricalMaintenance Superintendent is a key member of the Farmer Focus Maintenance leadership team. This position oversees and effectivelymanages electricalmaintenance responsibilities to ensure production machineryoperatessafely, reliably, and at optimalcapacity. The Electrical MaintenanceSuperintendent provides leadership and direction to the electrical team, supervises shift, andensures repairneeds are completed properly and on time.

This roleis responsible formanaging industrial electrical systems, supporting maximum plant capacity, minimizing costs, reducing unscheduled downtime, and sustaining positive working relationships with production and operating teams. The Electrical Maintenance Superintendent provides day-to-day support for troubleshooting, problem analysis, equipment failures, and facility-related electrical needs while promoting a safe, efficient, and high-performing plant environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and day-to-day supervision forelectricalteam members to ensure safe, timely, and effectiveelectricaloperations.

  • Manageelectricalsystems with a focus on maximizing plant capacity, minimizing costs, improving equipment reliability, and reducing unscheduled downtime.

  • Assign, schedule, and prioritizeelectricalwork to maximize task completion while minimizing disruption to plant operations.

  • Overseerepairs, installations, troubleshooting, and equipment failure analysis to support smooth daily plant operations with minimal repetitive issues.

  • Manageelectricalstaff through delegation, policy and procedure administration, assignment of work responsibilities, planning, organizing, directing, and follow-up of work assignments.

  • Promote plant safety performance through administration and enforcement of company and plant policies, procedures, and training requirements.

  • Provide solutions and day-to-day support to operating teams experiencing troubleshooting needs, problem analysis issues, equipment failures, or other maintenance-related concerns.

  • Maintain compliance with key performance indicators used to track and reportelectricalperformance, including supplier performance, equipment reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness.

  • Oversee and engage in facility-relatedelectricalprojects,repair of building utility systems such as electrical wiring and controls, heating, and ventilation systems.

  • Support projects involving facilities and the alteration or modification of existing facilities.

  • Administer training programs to ensure proper operations,repair programs, and procedures.

Compensation:  $115,000 - $130,000

  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and electrical systems, including both control and industrial wiring. 

  • Proficiency in pipe fitting, plumbing, welding, shop machinery, sheet metal, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls and instrumentation, and automatic equipment operation including setup, repair, and tear down. 

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • High level of organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning, and leadership skills. 

  • Ability and willingness to work rotating weekends as required. 

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel 

Work is performed on-site in a poultry processing production environment. This role requires regular access to production areas and the ability to tolerate varying heat, wet, and chilled conditions within the plant. Hearing and eye protection are required in production areas, and team members must wear hair and beard nets and any additional personal protective equipment required by task, location, or safety standards.
