Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair motors and electrical systems throughout the plant
  • Perform pre-job hazard analyses and ensure safety protocols are followed
  • Troubleshoot and assess all EIA systems across the plant
  • Adjust hardware to maintain efficiency between automation and operations
  • Respond to regular work orders and emergencies
  • Perform maintenance on equipment that monitors flow, temperature, density, and pressure
  • Input data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

Schedule: Our plant has two schedules, including rotating 12-hour shifts with 7 consecutive days off in a 28-day cycle. We also have a consistent day shift from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM 6:00 PM. Note: This is a union facility, and shifts are assigned based on availability and seniority.

Where will you work: Four Corners Mine (11200 State Road 37 S.| Bradley, FL 33835) or Wingate Mine (1295 Duette Road | Duette, FL 34219) Note: Location will be based on business need.

E&I Technician A: $38.94/hr.

Electrical & Instrumentation Technician 6 Heavy Industrial

As an E&I Technician, you'll play a crucial role in our mission to help the world grow the food it needs and keep our plants running smoothly. Your expertise in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and automation equipment will be vital to our operations. From lighting to motors, you'll ensure everything functions efficiently while adhering to safety standards and collaborating with your team. You'll also manage work requests through our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). If you're detail-oriented and can thrive in an outdoor industrial environment with varying temperatures, this role could be perfect for you.

What you9ll do:

Core responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair motors, drives, starters, and electrical systems (480V 6 4,160V)

  • Troubleshoot industrial electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems

  • Perform maintenance on equipment measuring flow, pressure, temperature, and density

  • Support and adjust PLC and automated control systems

  • Respond to plant breakdowns and emergency repairs

  • Execute work orders using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)

  • Communicate daily with supervisors to prioritize tasks

Safety & compliance:

  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, hot work, and hazard assessments

  • Follow all safety policies and environmental standards

  • Complete inspections, permits, and documentation

What you9ll need:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • 4+ years of industrial electrical experience OR completion of an accredited electrical program

  • Experience with motor controls, wiring, and troubleshooting industrial systems

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals

  • Strong commitment to safety in a heavy industrial environment

  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS systems

Bonus points if you have the following:

  • Associate degree in vocational, electrical, instrumentation, or automation

  • IBEW apprenticeship or phosphate industry experience

  • Experience with PLC programming and automation systems
