Job Description
The E&I Manger is accountable for providing leadership and direction of site level maintenance & contractor maintenance teams to deliver safe and timely maintenance and construction execution in support of company and site goals and objectives. Supports mechanical integrity, reliability, and overall asset performance. Sets targets, oversees costs. In partnership with functional counterparts, governs safety, environmental, quality and cost objectives while driving continuous maintenance operations improvement.
• Directs maintenance crews in the installation, repair, reliability, and preventive maintenance of assets used across the plant, facilities, utilities, and scale house to ensure asset integrity and maximize utilization.
• Drives compliance to daily, weekly, monthly, and annual scheduling and compliance to all processes, meetings and procedures associated with the area's Management Operating System.
• Ensures mechanics comply with all procedures and specifications. Manage any personnel, union / grievance, coaching, and disciplinary action in an unbiased approach according to the disciplinary procedure.
• Partners with Operations to identify, prioritize, and execute work to ensure stable operations, improve reliability, and reduce downtime across assets.
• Ensures installation and maintenance of assets is executed in a timely manner and properly coordinated with maintenance planning and production to accomplish equipment and facility repairs in an efficient and timely manner.
• Provides input into the development of maintenance plans and weekly schedules to ensure corrective and preventative work is prioritized and executed effectively.
• Ensures all equipment for maintenance work (as required) is secured in compliance with lockout/tagout (LOTO) policy and procedures to safeguard people and assets from hazardous events.
• Conducts audits to ensure all necessary assets are shut down, inoperable and safe to perform work. Ensures tagging and documentation to alert others to status of engaging with asset.
• Accountable for ensuring proper allocation / utilization of maintenance contractors onsite and proper management and control of value for time.
• Oversees all daily activities of craftsmen to ensure maximum "wrench time."
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience:
• Minimum of 4 years of electrical or electronics experience with a Technical/Associates degree
• Minimum of 8 years of electrical or electronics experience with High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a production facility is required
• 3 years of supervisory experience is required
• Experience planning and organizing electrical and instrumentation work
• Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Strong electrical aptitude with additional mechanical skills
• Experience troubleshooting equipment and reading maintenance procedures and blueprints
