POSITION SUMMARYStrike is hiring an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in Fort Saskatchewan.
LOCATION/DETAILS:- Candidates must be local to the Fort Saskatchewan area
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES- This role requires strong analytical skills, specialized E&I knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Reviews proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and required content of the estimate.
- Develop full project estimates across lump sum, unit rate, and T&M contracts
- Provides input regarding estimating strategies including profitability, risk management, execution strategy, and costs.
- Consults with other departments to ensure labour, equipment and materials reflect current pricing, construction costs and timelines.
- Participate in bid reviews, clarifications, and post-tender discussions with clients
- Attend site visits as required.
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and suppliers
- Review subcontractor/supplier bids and support negotiations and award recommendations
- Prepares and presents estimate plans, estimate schedules, man-hour budgets and fulfills all required deliverables to provide an exceptional overall bid proposal.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation- Journeyperson Electrician with a minimum of 3 years of electrical estimating experience
Experience- Industrial electrical field experience is preferred.
- Experience in scheduling is an asset.
- Extensive experience interpreting drawing packages.
- Electrical estimating experience
- Instrumentation knowledge is an asset.
- Experience working with Accubid estimating software.
- Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Blubeam software experience

- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, instrumentation, and industrial installation practices.
