Full Job Description
Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunities for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for an Electrical Engineering Supervisor! This opportunity is available in the following locations: Fenton, MO, Middleton, WI, West Allis, WI, Bloomington, MN, and Denver, CO.

Additionally, this position offers a flexible hybrid work schedule, requiring at least three days per week on-site at our office - an excellent opportunity to enjoy both in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

Responsibilities include:
  • Supervise a team of electrical engineers to ensure department policies and procedures are followed.
  • Oversee team production and ensure quality control measures are taken on all technical work.
  • Support business development activities.
  • Review and approve staff timesheets and expense reports.
  • Mentor staff and provide professional development opportunities.
  • Coordinate staff resources and workload with other managers.
  • Coordinate with HR and leadership to grow the team and/or skillsets.
  • Work with the department managers (DM) regarding strategic planning related to growth and development of the team.
  • Provide QA/QC review of project deliverables for technical accuracy.
  • Maintain and update the Food & Beverage group's electrical engineering standards, specifications, tools, and details used on projects.
  • Other tasks as assigned.


A valid driver's license and approximately 25% travel will be required.

The successful candidate must meet at least one of the following requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field AND at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Associate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field AND at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • If no degree, must have at least 7 years of relevant experience.


The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all the following:
  • 8 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering in either Food and Beverage or Industrial facilities.
  • Familiarity with good manufacturing practices (GMPs), sanitary design principles and/or hazard classification understanding.
  • Communicates confidently and professionally with clients, leads meetings, and serves as a primary point of contact for technical and project-related matters.
  • Analyzes complex information, evaluates risks and impacts, and develops sound recommendations that align technical solutions with client and project objectives.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge in electrical engineering, and applies that expertise to guide project approach, review work products, and advise clients.
  • Manages scope, fees, and priorities for assigned projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and contractual requirements are met.
  • Experience or familiarity with generative AI-driven tools, platforms, or systems (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance productivity, automate tasks, and reduce errors.
