Electrical Engineer
Location: Trenton, SC 29847 (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time
The Electrical Engineer will work on electrical problems of moderate scope, supporting manufacturing operations and automation initiatives. This role focuses on plant support, electrical systems reliability, and continuous improvement within a production environment.
The engineer will assist with projects, troubleshoot electrical systems, and contribute to automation and efficiency improvements across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
• Support electrical systems within a manufacturing environment, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs (Allen Bradley) and associated control systems
• Work with HMI systems, remote I/O, and industrial communication networks
• Assist in planning, development, and testing of electrical systems and equipment
• Support continuous improvement and automation initiatives across production processes
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to improve system reliability and uptime
• Work with internal teams and external vendors/contractors to execute projects
• Monitor system performance and recommend process improvements
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards
• Provide technical support to production and maintenance teams
• Work on medium voltage systems and machine control systems (PLCs, servos)
Must-Have Skills
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of Electrical Engineering experience
• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and industrial automation
• Strong work ethic and self-starter attitude
• Ability to manage budgets related to plant operations
Required Skills
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Experience with Rockwell software, HMI, and remote I/O systems
• Knowledge of industrial ethernet and machine networking
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience managing contractors and maintenance technicians
• Experience designing and overseeing electrical control systems
• Exposure to automation and continuous improvement initiatives
Industry Experience
• Manufacturing / Industrial environment required
• Experience with production processes and equipment maintenance preferred
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
