Full Job Description
Role Scope
  • Engineer substation designs for campus interconnection: HV yards and MV distribution substations in the reference design.
  • Own the physical and electrical design: layouts, bus configurations, and equipment specs to utility standards.
  • Interface with utilities and consultants: requirements translated into designs that pass review the first time.
  • Standardize the substation: one design stamped across sites instead of bespoke yards.
What We're Looking For
  • The below is a starting point. We always make space for exceptional people, so if you don't fit this role exactly, tell us where you would.
  • You've designed HV substations: physical, one-line, and protection interfaces.
  • You've taken substation packages through utility review.
  • You specify transformers, breakers, and switchgear at transmission class.
  • You've supported substation construction and energization.
  • You productize designs rather than redrawing them.
  • Bonus: 138kV-plus experience. Grounding studies (IEEE 80). GIS substations. Interconnection processes.

We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
