Review, evaluate, analyze and redesign PWA (printed wiring assembly) and MCM (multi-chip module) designs. Assist in identifying and organizing requirements. Derive from requirements architecture for system and board level. Analysis and simulations of the various architectures to extract key design choices. Produce analyses and mathematical models and draw design conclusions based on those. Power source selection (battery, supercapacitors). Select components based on analysis of specifications and reliability. Conduct Failure Analysis at board, tool and system level. Design proof of concept. Author technical reports, papers, articles, patents and presentations. Share expertise via Eureka (SLB technical knowledge sharing program) and special interest groups. Expand electric competency networks throughout the organization. Conduct or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code and other artifacts. Provide support to field and customers for prototype field operations. Assign, direct and review work of peers. Mentor junior engineers. Keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets. Adopt new practices readily to develop innovative and low-cost products. Maintain and improve documentation on electronic designs and products (technical files, schematics, assembly procedures, tool manuals, etc.). Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related STEM field, or a foreign equivalent plus 3 years of postbaccalaureate experience in job offered or any engineering related job titles. Applicants must possess 3 years of experience in the following: (1) Multiple microprocessor architecture design and Sensor design and integration; (2) Electrical design simulation and verification; (3) Electronics thermal management and HPHT derating; (4) Mid-to-high complexity power topology designs (half-bridge, forward, asym half-bridge); (5) Instrumentation for design validation; (6) Software development skills for test automation; (7) technical documentation writing; (8) High speed design recommendation and constraints; (9) Project management for multidiscipline (electrical, mechanical, software) project; and (10) Power consumption optimization for embedded design (battery). 5% domestic and international travel required for project support.
