The Opportunity:
Are you a skilled Electrical Engineer passionate about driving technical excellence and contributing to groundbreaking projects? As an Electrical Engineer at Glumac in either our Sacramento or San Francisco office, you will play a vital role in supporting our electrical discipline and ensuring the success of diverse and innovative projects.

Position Summary:
As an Electrical Engineer at Glumac, you will lead and support the design of electrical power and control systems for complex projects including hospitals, laboratories, educational facilities, light rail, high-rise offices, and other commercial and institutional buildings. You will perform system calculations, equipment sizing, lighting design, and code-informed coordination while working closely with internal and external project partners. In this role, you will also review the work of others, support project schedules and budgets, and mentor junior team members to ensure high-quality design delivery.

Essential Job Functions:
The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:
• Design and plan electrical power systems for all types of projects, including but not limited to: commercial, advanced technology, mission critical, education, government, healthcare, science & technology.
• Design and specification of power and control systems, system layouts, load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, performing calculations of lighting systems and associated controls.
• Provide leadership in prioritizing engineering project team labor to meet multiple moving deadlines and track project budgets.
• Work with external team members, including architects, outside consultants, code officials, and contractors.
• Work with internal team members of other disciplines to provide a coordinated and thought-out design.
• Review MEP systems designed by others.
• Responsible for ensuring a high quality of work produced by the electrical design team members through proper quality control.
• Training and mentoring electrical designers to help them grow and develop their design and consulting skills.
• Be able to act as the Engineer or Record (EOR) and lead electrical engineer.
• Support Project Managers in overseeing project budgets, schedules, and team coordination, fostering a culture of efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of experience as an MEP Engineer in infrastructure and/or building systems.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineering PE license.
• Proficiency in REVIT, showcasing your mastery of industry-leading design tools.
• Experience in sustainable design, demonstrating your commitment to eco-friendly solutions.
• Must be located in, or willing to relocate to, the Sacramento or San Francisco, CA area

Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of OHSPD/HCAI.
• Project Management experience.
• LEED AP BD+C accreditation or WELL certification, highlighting your dedication to sustainability.

Work Environment and Location:
This position offers a hybrid work environment, with a requirement of two in-office days per week in either our Sacramento or San Francisco office. All candidates must be located in and eligible to work in the U.S.

Compensation:
Salary Range: $130,000 - $180,000 (depending on experience)
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the compensation scale for this role. Actual salaries will be determined based on location, experience, responsibilities, and qualifications. This salary range is just one component of Glumac's total compensation package, which includes benefits, professional development opportunities, and additional incentives.
