Electrical Engineer, Mining!Your work environment at EXPIn this role, you will be a part of the Mining Team, based in Sudbury or North Bay, ON office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you- PLC, Power, Automation and instrumentation mining experience required.
- Responsible for meeting firm's engineering quality levels of discipline on assigned projects.
- Oversees development of design concepts by Designers, and ensure proper application and execution.
- Verifies Designer's work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, submittal review, equipment selection, deliverables, and drawings.
- Responsible for applying the EXP's risk management practices of electrical engineering.
- Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering.
- Encourages collaboration to seek the best solutions.
- Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
- Executes complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination.
- Perform front-end loading of Electrical systems for projects.
- Contributes to revisions of EXP's design standards and master specifications.
- Evaluates Value Engineering (cost cutting) items with respect to our level of risk.
- Edits and develops the basis of design narratives documenting the project scope.
- Develops electrical one-lines, load lists, area classifications, etc.
- Participates in HAZOP, PHA, safety reviews.
What your experience looks like- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an Accredited University.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) within the province is mandatory.
- At least 6 years of experience in the mining or industrial industry.

The salary range for this role is between $90K - $119K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
