Full Job Description
has a position available for an electrical engineer.

Responsibilities include:
  • The design of electrical systems for public or water/wastewater facility projects
  • Preparing plans and specifications of electrical systems for bidding and construction
  • Technical support on large and/or complex projects
  • Providing construction administration and site visits
  • Mentoring staff; coordinating work and communication between subcontractors, teaming partners and suppliers
  • Client management


Some travel will be required.

The successful candidate must have all of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in electrical from an accredited college or university
  • At least six (6) years of relevant electrical engineering experience
  • A PE in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states within six (6) months of hire


The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
  • Experience with designing electrical systems for public and water/wastewater facilities (water/wastewater collection, pumping/treatment and discharge)
  • Designing electrical systems using power analysis software (EasyPower, SKM Power Tools, or similar) and lighting calculation software (Visual Lighting, AGI32, or ElumTools)
  • Codes, statutes, standards and laws related to building design and construction
  • Experience with arc flash hazards
  • Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFD) and pumps
  • Understanding of medium voltage distribution systems
  • Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD
  • Experience mentoring less experienced engineers
  • Experience with power system studies, system planning and operations, and equipment specifications
  • Knowledge of/experience the coordination with other engineering fields
