Full Job Description
Electrical Engineer

As an Electrical Engineer at CMTA, you'll play a vital role in designing critical building systems that power the spaces where people live, work, learn, and heal. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team that values innovation, continuous learning, and real-world impact.

What You'll Do:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for a variety of building types, including:
    • Electrical distribution and standby/emergency power systems
    • Lighting design (interior/exterior), lighting controls, and photometric analysis
    • Fire alarm, life safety, security, and communications systems
    • Energy conservation and code compliance strategies
  • Prepare one-line diagrams, load calculations, and panel schedules
  • Perform conductor sizing and voltage drop calculations
  • Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines and architects to deliver integrated designs
  • Contribute to project documentation: meeting minutes, weekly progress reports, submittal reviews, RFIs, and punch lists
  • Support project management and construction administration phases
  • Apply your knowledge of NEC, ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and applicable codes and standards

What You Bring:
  • BS Architectural Engineering, or BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in building system design preferred
  • Experience with AGI for lighting photometrics
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and experience with REVIT
  • Knowledge of Electrical design and applicable codes
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills
  • Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines and customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
