Electrical EngineerAs an Electrical Engineer at CMTA, you'll play a vital role in designing critical building systems that power the spaces where people live, work, learn, and heal. You'll be part of a multidisciplinary team that values innovation, continuous learning, and real-world impact.
What You'll Do:- Design and develop electrical systems for a variety of building types, including:
- Electrical distribution and standby/emergency power systems
- Lighting design (interior/exterior), lighting controls, and photometric analysis
- Fire alarm, life safety, security, and communications systems
- Energy conservation and code compliance strategies
- Prepare one-line diagrams, load calculations, and panel schedules
- Perform conductor sizing and voltage drop calculations
- Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines and architects to deliver integrated designs
- Contribute to project documentation: meeting minutes, weekly progress reports, submittal reviews, RFIs, and punch lists
- Support project management and construction administration phases
- Apply your knowledge of NEC, ANSI/TIA, BICSI, and applicable codes and standards
What You Bring:- BS Architectural Engineering, or BS Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in building system design preferred
- Experience with AGI for lighting photometrics
- Proficient with AutoCAD and experience with REVIT
- Knowledge of Electrical design and applicable codes
- Strong interpersonal and time management skills
- Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines and customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
