Full Job Description
Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Services, Inc. is seeking a mid?level Electrical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in PCB design, digital and analog circuit development, and hardware integration. In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team to design, analyze, prototype, and test electrical systems that support mission?critical products. The ideal candidate brings initiative, ownership, and a collaborative mindset, and is comfortable taking designs from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, analyze, and test digital and analog circuits for new and existing systems.
  • Perform PCB schematic capture and coordinate layout activities using Altium (required).
  • Support hardware integration, prototype builds, and hands-on testing of electrical systems.
  • Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, and engineering documentation.
  • Conduct electrical analysis, calculations, and trade studies to evaluate design options.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
  • Participate in system-level integration, verifying electrical performance and resolving issues alongside mechanical, systems, software, and manufacturing teams.
  • Develop and maintain engineering requirements, specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Contribute to design reviews and provide clear, actionable technical recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Support configuration management, change control, and documentation release processes.
  • Assist manufacturing teams during build and production phases, ensuring designs are robust and producible.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support program objectives, schedule commitments, and quality goals.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in PCB design (schematic capture required).
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer or similar PCB design tool.
  • Experience designing and testing digital and analog circuits.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with engineering analysis tools, test equipment, and standard lab practices.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance; active clearance preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical hardware environments.
  • Experience with environmental, qualification, or acceptance testing.
  • Experience with electrical simulation tools (e.g., SPICE-based modeling).
  • Familiarity with requirements management or configuration management systems.
