Full Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer III, you will lead the design, development, and validation of electrical/electronic systems for aerospace and defense projects. You will be responsible for understanding complex circuits, overseeing testing, and ensuring the successful integration of electrical/electronic systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of electrical/electronic systems.
  • In some applications, lead development of circuit card assemblies.
  • Lead implementation of electrical wiring design practices.
  • Oversee the testing and validation of electronic systems and components.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and debugging of electronic circuits.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including designs, test plans, and results.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Participate in and lead design reviews, providing expert technical insights.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers, fostering technical growth.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes.


Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in electrical/electronic design and validation techniques.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
  • Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
  • Exposure to electrical/electronic system federal rules and regulations, including Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) requirements.
  • Exposure to electrical/electronic Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and System Safety Assessment (SSA) concepts.


Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for electrical applications.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace and defense industry standards and practices.
  • Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis.
  • Experience composing an Electrical Load Analysis (ELA).
  • Experience with circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes.
  • Familiarity with Effects (EME) to include Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
  • Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL).
  • Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture.
  • Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools.

  • Clearly convey technical information, design specifications, and project updates to team members, stakeholders, and management.
  • Ability to understand technical documents, electrical/electronic schematics, and electronic instrument measurements.
  • Ability to handle small components, tools, and equipment with precision.
