Electrical Engineer

Job Summary: The Electrical Engineer is a technical professional responsible for the design, analysis, and implementation of critical power infrastructure across a variety of industry sectors including, but not limited to, Mission-Critical, Healthcare, Life Sciences, and Commercial. This role includes developing detailed specifications for UPS systems, emergency and standby generators, and low- and medium-voltage switchgear, while ensuring system reliability, safety, and compliance. The position requires knowledge in power system studies, including short circuit, selective coordination, and arc flash analysis. The ideal candidate brings strong field survey and construction administration experience, delivering high-quality solutions across all phases of a project.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical load calculations and develop comprehensive power distribution designs for commercial, infrastructure, and data center projects
  • Prepare detailed construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports for UPS systems, emergency/standby generators, and low-voltage switchgear
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to develop system layouts, one-lines, and coordinated design models
  • Conduct power system studies, including short circuit, selective coordination, and arc flash hazard analysis using SKM, ETAP, or similar software
  • Design and engineer standby and emergency power systems, including generator and paralleling system configurations
  • Perform field surveys and site assessments to verify existing conditions and support design development
  • Support construction administration activities, including submittal reviews, RFIs, site visits, and coordination with contractors
  • Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to deliver technically sound and cost-effective solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and documentation to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements
  • Apply knowledge of data center infrastructure to support mission-critical system design and reliability objectives
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by staying current with industry standards, technologies, and best practices

Qualifications and Experience:
  • 1-5 years of experience
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
  • Proficient in Electrical Load Calculations
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Proficient with SKM, eTap, or equivalent software
  • Technical writing skills required
  • Proficient in the development of specifications for UPS Systems, Emergency/Standby Generators, Low-Voltage Switchgear
  • Knowledge in Infrastructure and Commercial Facilities
  • Knowledge relative to Data Center infrastructure design
  • Experience with the development of Short Circuit and Selective Coordination studies
  • Experience with the development of Arc Flash Hazard Analysis Studies
  • Experience with the design of Standby and Emergency Generator Systems as well as paralleling generator systems
  • Field survey experience
  • Experience with Construction Administration

Location: Monroe Township, NJ

Travel: Some travel to US sites.

Compensation & Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $100,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
